Spencers Wood Carnival was started in 2007 by friends Liz Ratcliffe and Debbie Johnson, who set out to organise an event that would bring the whole community together for a day of family fun with fairground rides, good food and drink, a range of side-shows and a variety of entertainment for all ages. In 2018 Karen Eaves took over from Liz in Co Organising the Carnival with Debbie. The ethos of bringing the community together still remains the focus. We welcome all newcomers to Spencers Wood Village and surrounding Villages.
The aim is to provide something for everyone, from puppets shows, craft workshops and games for the children to live music from local bands to round off the day.
And for those who are after a bit of retail therapy, we have commercial stalls selling quality crafts and speciality foods as well.
